The Grout Doctor expands its operations in Texas and opens a new franchise in McKinney! The new custom Grout Doctor software is now available at no cost to all franchisees. It was designed to fully integrate and automate franchise management processes.
November 2007
The Grout Doctor’s new expanded product line is now available to all franchisees and includes three cleaners, one sealer and two consumer maintenance cleaners. Franchisees enjoy the benefits of being able to order these products, as well as other products and materials, online at discounted prices! The Grout Doctor also announced another enhancement to the support system this month – an awesome new online advertising and print center - complete with online editing capabilities!

Grout Doctor Development, Inc. (GDD) was formed by Developers, Joe & Robin Rotella, to expand The Grout Doctor business and enhance its support system. A national advertising program with Val-Pak was promptly introduced for the benefit of all Grout Doctor franchisees, independent contractors and developers. The first outlet was opened in the Chicagoland Market!
April 1994 - June 1997
The Grout Doctor® expands operations in California and Arizona and opened its first outlets in Florida, Georgia, Ohio and Utah.
February 1992 - March 1994
Grout Doctor franchises were sold in California and Arizona. After serious health challenges, Mr. Baity decided to stop franchising and opted to begin offering an independent contractor program through Developers.
 January 1992
The Grout Doctor® was founded by James Baity of Sacramento, California. He became aware of the strong need for this specialized service before he retired from owning and operating a large successful tile contracting business. He wrote the book, “How to get the Gold out of Grout” and designed a system to teach grout repair and maintenance to someone from any background or walk of life!
